What is WIC?

The New Hampshire Farmers' Market Nutrition Program

The New Hampshire Farmers' Market Nutrition Program is a program of the State of New Hampshire's Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Community and Public Health.

The Bureau of WIC Nutrition Services issues coupons to participating women, children and seniors with the goal of increasing access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Produce should be purchased as close to the value of the coupon(s) as possible, though change may be given. The coupons are white with purple ink.

The Bedford Farmers' Market participates in the WIC program, and WIC coupons are accepted by the vendors at the Market.

For more information on the eligibility, other participating markets, and the WIC program in general, please contact the Bureau of WIC Nutrition Services directly between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1-800-WIC-4321 (1-800-942-4321).
